Two Wells MoW rolls on

Two Wells Meals on Wheels meeting opened 11.35am at Bella Mia Cafe. Pamela Duncan, president, welcomed everyone, and noted how good it was that so many attended.

The president then gave a report, covering last year’s Christmas Hampers, first aid kits, Evelyn Dyer being awarded the Australia Day Citizen of the Year for 2026, and the AGM at Two Wells Tavern with Barry Flitter paying the Bill.

Freezer breakdown, all sorted and a special thankyou to the Community Centre for allowing us to use their freezer temporarily.

Ann Stodart then gave her Treasurer’s report stating that she does not receive statements other than every three months. Pamela to look into getting the statement sent online.

The Christmas goodies for the clients hamper and photo paper have come out of the account.

Petrol allowance has temporarily increased, but volunteers are still happy to have the money put into their social account.

Spoke about the Meals on Wheels relocation with Jo Spurling writing a letter to Adelaide Plains Council, regarding the relocation of the Meals on Wheels Branch, they will take it to the next meeting.

First Aid Kits: Everyone who needs first aid kits, should have one.

New/Old Clients: There has been eight new clients for 2026, but some very regular clients have had to go into respite care.

The Annual Luncheon will be held on Friday, 19 June at Gawler River Brewing at 12pm subject to availability.

Special thanks to Ann Stodart for organising this meeting and ordering the coffees, along with Sandwiches and cakes for us all to enjoy.

Meeting was then closed around 1.15pm. Please contact Pamela on 0409002201 or Ann on 0407393305 if you are interested in volunteering, you are always welcome to join our friendly group.

If you would like to have Meals on Wheels delivered to you, contact Head Office on 8271 8700 or 1800 854 453 and they can discuss the arrangements.

The meals are delivered to you frozen every Friday morning, a three course meal, and you can order as many meals as you require.
