Party time for Mid North business after national award

Mid North Party Hire has helped many with their grand celebrations, and now the business has reason to celebrate after earning a national industry award in a ceremony in Sydney recently.

The Hire Industry Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner was held at the Millennium Room at Accor Stadium, held as part of HIRE26 which is Australia’s premier conference and exhibition for the hire and rental industry.

The awards recognise outstanding achievement across the industry with Mid North Party Hire, based in Blyth, winning Hire Company of the Year.

Hire and Rental Industry Association Chief Executive Officer James Oxenham said Mid North Party Hire was a fantastic example of the calibre of talent seen across the hire and rental industry.

“The Excellence Awards exist to shine a light on the businesses and individuals who raise the bar for everyone in hire and rental, and every year we are reminded of just how much passion and dedication exist across this sector,” he said.

This was the first time Mid North Party Hire had won the award, having been a finalist two years ago.

Manager Kymette Schultz said it felt so good to earn this national recognition from industry peers.

“We’ve had awards before, voted for by our customers, but to get recognition from the industry is good, particularly against the calibre of companies we were up against,” she said.

“We were judged on a whole heap of things. If you’re doing the right things, look after your clients, look after staff and giving back to your community, then you are ticking all the boxes.”

This is the latest feather in the cap of Mid North Party Hire, which has more than 25 years of experience in the industry behind it.

Ms Schultz said the business was always looking to keep up with customers’ needs and to serve the region.

“We service a big area and we need to be able to offer a lot of things,” she said.
