Rural vistas meet luxury comfort at Neagles Retreat

Neagles Retreat Villas offers views of the stunning vistas of the Clare Valley, while only a five minute walk from the middle pub.

With their newly opened three bedroom luxury villas, visitors can enjoy their time in the valley in a home away from home.

Each of the four new villas feature an ensuite to each bedroom, full kitchen and laundry facilities, ensuring all the conveniences of your own home are at your fingertips as you explore the valley’s numerous epicurean delights.

Neagles Retreat Villas sit on an operating sheep farm, with views of the vineyards and rolling hills the valley is known for.

The villas also come equipped with all the mod-cons including free Wi-Fi, smart TVs, reverse cycle air conditioning, gas log fire, and a complimentary bottle of estate grown wine with your stay. Full wheelchair access is also available in villa four.

Neagles Retreat Villas was brought to life by long-time hospitality venue owners Deb and Scaggs Scaglione.

Deb and Scaggs had been in business in the area for 15 years and had come to realise there was nothing in the area that offered luxury accommodation, close to the town.

They were quick to locate the perfect plot and buy the land and begin what would only become to be known as Neagles Retreat Villas.

Negles Retreat Villas began with 4×2 bedroom in 2015.

Deb and Scaggs began working together in December 1988 when they made the move with their two young children from the South East of South Australia to Brighton Beach in Adelaide, where they owned and operated the Esplanade Hotel for more than 14 years.

After selling the Esplanade Hotel in 2002 it was not long before they were back in the hotel game when they bought the Clare Hotel in regional South Australia in May 2003, which they continue to own and operate to this day.

In August 2013, Deb and Scaggs bought the first block and Neagles Retreat began. The first set of Villas were launched in November 2015 and with astounding success and accolades along with their own brand of wine Neagles Estate.

In May 2019 they bought the neighbouring block and with that came the plans for the next set of villas and a cellar door. After some extensive planning, and time to bounce back from the pandemic, Neagles Retreat’s new three bedroom villas provide a new level of comfort for a new level of luxury experience.

The villas have been made possible with the help of local businesses Mace Engineering, SC Heinrich, Mid North Pest and Weed, Clare Concreting, Clare Valley Hardware, Clare Mitre 10, Riverland Glass, MR Electrix, Mait Plumbing, Channon Alterations and Additions, Scott Pirii Rendering, JC Gill, Clare Building Supplies, Port Wakefield Interior linings, L Polyak Painting Services, Macks Cabinets, Clare Valley Tiling, D&T Glazing, Clare Metal Fabrication, Pro Plasterboard, Earles Transport and IJ McKendrick.
